During the studies Luzia learned how the human body functions in health and in disease. Students are also taught diagnostic skills which help to reach the correct diagnosis.

A very important part of the studies was to learn how to treat a patient holistically. To do this a Herbalist is required to consider all the different symptoms in a patient, this includes any conventional treatment they are taking, they must look at diet, lifestyle and past history, with the aim of finding the cause of the illness.

Luzia has been a successful practicing herbalist since 2001.
