The
shredded or powdered bark of the Lapacho tree has been successfully
used for medicinal and cosmetic purposes for more than a thousand
years.
The University of Recife in Brasil has established that Lapacho acts as a powerful antibiotic against staphylococci and streptococci.
Apart from its antibacterial action it also has a general antiviral,
antiparasitic, antifungal and antitumour action. It is a specific
and effective remedy to treat Candida albicans, combined with
dietary changes.
Lapacho taken internally as a herbal tea or tincture has no
harmful side-effects when taken in a prescribed dosage, with
the added benefit of having a pleasant flavour.
Externally
Lapacho improves circulation in the skin, reduces inflammation
and restores the acid layer that acts as a chemical protection.
Applied regularly it tightens the skin on the face and the whole
body and supplies it with nourishing minerals and trace elements.
